Collaborate with investment advisors (Outsourced and custodians to optimize portfolio performance.<\/p><ul><li>Manages all investment portfolio reporting to the Investment Committee including the integration of investment portfolios assumed in connection with mergers with other AAA clubs.<\/li><li>Develops investment income budgets and tracks actual performance versus budget in concert with relevant external parties.<\/li><li>Manages the process by which portfolio management responsibilities may be competitively bid and any consequent consolidation of investment management.<\/li><li>Monitors all investment portfolio holdings and responsible for all performance reporting (fixed income, equity, and short-term holdings) for all AAA Club Alliance entities.<\/li><li>Over-sees investment accounting activities<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><b>Leadership and Oversight of Director of Tax and Defined Benefits Plans:\u00a0 <\/b>Oversee and provide strategic direction to the Director of Tax, ensuring the company\u2019s tax compliance, strategy, and reporting processes are in alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.<\/p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Director of Tax to ensure accurate preparation of tax filings, including federal and state and review tax strategies and planning initiatives.<\/li><li>Support the Director of Tax with addressing complex tax issues, managing relationships with external tax advisors, and ensuring that the organization takes full advantage of tax-saving opportunities while minimizing risks.<\/li><li>Ensure that the organization\u2019s pension plans are managed effectively and in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 715) and regulatory requirements.<\/li><li>Provide oversight for actuarial valuations and funding strategies ensuring that the plans are accurately reported in financial statements.<\/li><li>Review and ensure accurate disclosures for defined benefit plans, including pension expenses, funded status, and other relevant metrics in accordance with accounting guidelines and company policy.<\/li><li>Collaborate with external actuaries and other stakeholders to effectively manage risk and ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization\u2019s defined benefit plans.<\/li><li>Engage with external auditors, tax consultants, and actuarial advisors to ensure that financial reporting, tax filings, and pension plan accounting comply with regulatory and audit requirements<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><b>Risk Management Support<\/b>: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive management of potential threats and opportunities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support risk-informed decision-making in concert with Legal.<\/p><ul><li>Participates in risk management activities to drive better business outcomes<\/li><li>Partners with the risk management team involving managing insurable and financial risks across the enterprise.<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><u><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/p><ul><li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field<\/li><li>10&#43; years of experience in corporate treasury, cash management, investments; public company experience preferred<\/li><li>5&#43; years leadership or supervisory experience<\/li><li>Demonstrated experience transforming cash and investment management<\/li><li>Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Finance Principles and Investments<\/li><li>Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and reporting, with a strong understanding of defined benefit plan administration, including developing and implementing funding strategies<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><u><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><b>Knowledge Skills and Abilities:<\/b><\/span><\/u><\/p><ul><li>Financial modeling expertise<\/li><li>Strong financial analysis skills<\/li><li>Comfort with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while embracing change and solving problems<\/li><li>Ability to execute and deliver quality results, including managing projects, developing strategy, working collaboratively, influencing senior leaders and distilling complex ideas into clear communications<\/li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills<\/li><li>Ability to provide leadership and direction to less senior team members.<\/li><li>Ability\u00a0 to analyze, recommend, execute and report multiple investment instruments\/strategies<\/li><li>Ability to manage and cultivate third party relationships<\/li><li>Ability to formulate positions and recommendations to drive consensus<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>ACA is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment practices laws.
