AAA is hiring for an Incentive Compensation Analyst to join our team! This position is an internal compensation consultant, analyzing competitive data for position evaluation, providing guidance on pay decisions and policy, and designing incentive programs. This role communicates compensation philosophy, structure and practices, and ensures alignment with business goals, employee retention needs, and company recruitment efforts. Our ideal candidate will have experience with sales compensation design.

* The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

What You'll Do:

Incentive Plan Management & Analysis

  • Participate in design, forecast, and sales analysis of incentive plans, including performance metrics development, cost budgeting, modeling, and ROI assessment
  • Present compensation strategy recommendations to leadership and ensure accurate plan documentation and communication

Compensation Consulting & Job Evaluation

  • Serve as internal compensation expert, providing guidance on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and FLSA exemption determinations
  • Review compensation data changes in HRIS system for accuracy and approve for payroll processing.
  • Conduct job evaluations for new roles and re-evaluations, analyzing market data to determine appropriate grades, titles, and compensation
  • Partner with human resources, business and finance teams to estimate cost impacts and maintain current job descriptions

Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence

  • Complete salary surveys, load data into PayFactors, and analyze results to ensure competitive positioning
  • Develop market adjustment recommendations and geographic differential updates
  • Research competitive practices and recommend survey participation

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain HRMS (Workday) accuracy including job codes, documentation databases, geographic differentials, and compensation reporting
  • Partner with HR Technology to create and load mass data changes, run analytical reports, and extract data for decision-making
  • Manage historical archives and change logs for job evaluations, FLSA testing, and compensation decisions

Program Implementation & Compliance

  • Participate in development of annual bonus plan, variable pay plans, recognition programs, merit budget and matrix scale, and common performance review processes
  • Conduct regular compliance audits for FLSA exemption status, minimum wage regulations, and fair pay practices
  • Develop and deliver compensation training sessions and policy updates
  • Support compensation-related integration activities for mergers and acquisitions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance or related discipline. 3-5 years of applicable compensation experience, preferably within a mid to large size and matrixed environment
  • Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations regarding compensation practices and HR policies/procedures
  • CCP, PHR, or other related designation preferred plus
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, VBA), Workday and PayFactors experience a plus
  • Strong logical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to create presentations and deliver complex information to a variety of different levels of HR/business partners.  Ability to speak or write persuasively
  • Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to organize, manage and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently
