AAA Club Alliance is currently seeking a Data Architect here in Wilmington, DE or Cincinnati, OH.
The Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data architecture for AAA Club Alliance. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our data systems are efficient, secure, and scalable to meet the evolving needs of the business.
In this role you work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions. Additionally, you will oversee data modeling, database design, and data integration processes to optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
The primary duties are:
Design and develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions to support business objectives.
Collaborate with business data analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Lead the design and implementation of data models, database schemas, and data integration processes.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Optimize database performance through partitioning, and other optimization techniques.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data architecture and management processes.
Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to data engineering and analytics teams.
Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data architecture, database technologies, and data management.
Be a contributing member as part of the team on-call rotation supporting nightly data processing to ensure SLAs are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 10 years in database design and data management.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, techniques, and tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio).
Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
Strong experience with SQL and Python.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and services with an emphasis on Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
